3 days workshop on Pipeline Integrity Management & Corrosion Prevention in Oil & Gas Industries

What it’s all about!

This program is designed for in-depth understanding of engineering principles behind successful integrity management of pipelines and pipeline integrity in service. Practical aspect of design considerations, sizing, rating, pipeline integrity, internal inspections, analysis, repair, pressure testing, pipeline protection shall be presented. The program shall also provide more information about pipeline defects, determining pipeline integrity, cracks, corrosion, and other possible failures and damages. This will lead the participants to prepare them for ensuring safe operations and preventing any incidents.

The training program will include instructions, guidelines and orientation to:


•  Understanding engineering issues of pipelines and to assess the issues of integrity threats

• Understanding of the pipeline integrity management stages and procedures

• Understanding of Piping and pipeline failures, major threats and risks including time dependent degradation (Corrosion, cracking, pitting, etc) and also the third party inflicted damages

• Inspection and monitoring processes

• Development of integrity management plans and implementation procedures

•Field case histories discussions and learning relevant integrity management techniques (including defect assessment and repairs)

Stress Corrosion Cracking as per API 581
In-service Inspection for Safe Remaining Life,Assurance for Integrity
Fitness for service, Logic of analysis to ensure integrity
Pipeline Integrity Management program and the role of
Pig Inspections monitoring and evaluation
Prime Engineering Issues and activities required for optimal operation of pipeline Assessment of integrity threats and key issues aecting the integrity of pipelines

Speaker Profile :

Mr N.K.Roy is on the board of directors of Charisma Careers Private Limited in Vadodara, India and is also advisor to us for our technical workshops and seminars. Graduating in Mechanical Engineering in 1966, he completed his Master of Engineering with specialization in Mechanical Machine Design at University of Roorkee(now called as IIT Roorkee), India two years later. He has been actively involved in number of engineering societies and forums as member in ASME, AWWA, Indian Institute of Metals, IS NDT, Society of Piping Engineers and Designers, PMI, etc. He has more than 45+ years of rich experience in design, life assessment techniques, material selection and NDT in varied industries like Fertiliser, Oil & Gas, Power, etc. His rich experience in organisations like Humphreys and Glasgow (now Jacobs), Projects and Development India Limited, VXL India Limited (Saurashtra Chemicals) in number of diversied areas of Piping System, Process Equipment, NDT and life assessment has benetted the engineering community immensely. His strong belief in sharing information and experience took him to dierent corners of India in his initial days and later on the international engineering community benetted a lot in countries like Oman, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Qatar, etc.
